Meet Dr. Pattison

Dr. Tom Pattison has been practicing orthodontics in Knoxville, Tennessee for over 30 years.  He is a native Knoxvillian having grown up in South Knoxville.  After graduating from the University of Tennessee, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis.  Dr. Pattison served as a dentist in the United States Air Force where he was stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippine Islands.  He returned to Memphis where he entered the University of Tennessee School of Orthodontics, and upon graduation he returned to Knoxville to begin his practice in l977.

Dr. Pattison is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, The American Association of Orthodontics, and the Southern Association of Orthodontists. He is also a past president of the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Pattison was recently awarded life membership in the American Dental Association for his years of commitment to the dental profession.

Aside from orthodontics, Dr. Pattison is a Rotarian, having served as a past president of the North Knoxville Rotary Club. Dr. Pattison enjoys all aspects of physical fitness, golf and travel.  He is a Big Orange fan and enjoys supporting his alma mater; however, his primary joys are his five grandchildren.  Dr. Pattison and his wife, Carole, have three married children, who he proudly boasts all graduated from the University of Tennessee.
